XR is the Future at UT Austin
There is no doubt that augmented and virtual reality will play a big part in our everyday experience in the future. The University of Texas is currently providing research and courses to prepare us for the extended reality (XR) future.
The eXtended Reality Alliance is the central point to learn about all the augmented, mixed, and virtual reality classes, initiatives, and labs on the University of Texas at Austin campus.
Through a deeper understanding of immersive, media creators, brand / digital strategists, and researchers can gain insight into how storytelling, learning, and communication will evolve with emerging technology and adaptive tools, and how it could be possible to inspire audiences to extend themselves into the content they are consuming for a more meaningful experience.

- The XR Learning Community hosts events throughout the school semester to bring together the community. These events are focused on bringing in guest speakers to share their knowledge, as well as to foster interdisciplinary research among the community. Furthermore, XRA is the vehicle that supports collaboration among its members.

Lunch & Learn Once a month, the UT XR Learning Community comes together to broaden our perspectives of Extended Reality. Guest speakers will share their knowledge as the community discusses and learns the ins-and-outs of Extended Reality.
Our Fall 2020 Lunch and Learns were scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00: September 9th, October 14th, November 11th, December 9th.
As these meetups were conducted virtually, we have created a recorded playlist to exhibit our speakers and conversations.
